Rejected by carriers? The website is one of the most common reasons. Fix it today →

This page is for healthcare practices and other small offices that text patients and customers through Weave. Weave says 10DLC registration is required for all businesses texting US customers. Canadian offices use their CRA Business Number. Weave says unregistered accounts face heavy filtering and added carrier fees.

10DLC Site is not affiliated with or endorsed by Weave. Provider names are used only to describe where information goes. This page describes the flow as documented at the time of writing (Updated September 2026). Screens change, so follow what you see in your account.

Which registration does Weave use, and who submits it?

Weave uses A2P 10DLC. You enter your details and proof of consent in the Weave app, and Weave sends them on for carrier review. Weave says it manages the setup, so you do not deal with The Campaign Registry directly. If you switch providers later, Weave says you must register again with the new one.

The three steps in Weave's guide:

  1. Business information. Settings, then Organizational Settings. Check Business Verification. If it has a green checkmark, skip ahead. Otherwise enter Legal Business Name, EIN, and Address exactly as on your tax documents, confirm your website has opt-in language, and submit.
  2. Compliance documentation. Settings, then Organizational Settings, then Messaging Compliance Registration. Give proof of consent as a Web Form, Printed Document, or Verbal process.
  3. Register the number. Settings, then Organizational Settings, then Manage Phone Numbers and Porting. Click the More icon next to the number and choose Register for 10DLC. The status changes to Pending.

What does Weave ask for, and where does the website come in?

Item What Weave asks for
Tax ID EIN (US), or CRA Business Number and Corporation Number (Canada)
Legal name and address Exactly as on tax filings. Weave says mismatches trigger a verification failure.
Company email A valid, monitored work email
Website An active company website with opt-in language
Locations and industry Branch locations tied to the parent office, and your industry
Terms of Service A page with an explicit texting notice
Proof of consent Web form, printed document, or verbal process

Weave offers a privacy policy template and a terms template in its help center.

Included in your Registration Kit: your legal details laid out to match Weave's form, a consent description for the Messaging Compliance step, and your homepage, privacy policy, terms, and opt-in page URLs. Build my order →

What does Weave say carriers check on your website?

Weave's FAQ lists three things to add to your site:

  • An opt-in checkbox. Wherever a customer can type a mobile number, add a checkbox with explicit text-permission wording. See opt-in form.
  • A privacy policy with a no-sharing line. Weave gives the exact sentence: "Consumer information is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes." See privacy policy.
  • Visible SMS terms. A terms page that covers message types, frequency, data rate notices, privacy links, and opt-out words. Weave says it must be printed on the page, not hidden in a popup. See SMS terms.

Weave also says the business must have a live website or a verified social media page.

Why was my Weave registration rejected?

These reasons come from Weave's FAQ. Each links to a fix page.

Reason Weave lists (paraphrased) Fix page
No opt-in checkbox where customers enter a mobile number Opt-in not verifiable
Privacy policy lacks the no-sharing statement Privacy policy missing SMS language
Terms missing, unclear, or hidden in a popup Missing SMS terms
No live website or verified social page Website not accessible
Application details do not match the website Website does not match brand
Legal name, EIN, or address does not match IRS or CRA records Brand EIN mismatch
Restricted content (SHAFT, cannabis, tobacco) Prohibited content
Sole proprietor campaign type Sole proprietor brand

What do Weave's registration statuses mean?

Status What Weave says to do
Registered Approved. Nothing more to do.
Pending Carriers are reviewing. Usually 2 to 3 business days.
Failed Check details and your website opt-in checkbox, then click Register for 10DLC again. If it fails again, contact support.
Rejected Contact Weave Support to fix and resubmit.
Unregisterable Account profile is missing details. Check fields, then contact support.
Unspecified Unexpected error. Contact support.

How long does Weave review take, and what does it cost?

Weave's registration guide says carrier verification can take up to 10 business days. Its FAQ says Pending usually lasts 2 to 3 business days.

Weave does not publish a per-registration fee at the time of writing. Its FAQ says carrier fees are covered through a Regulatory Cost Recovery Fee on your monthly invoice. Ask Weave support what applies to your account.

What Weave details trip people up?

  • Exact IRS match. Weave checks your name, EIN, and address against IRS or CRA records. Weave suggests IRS Letter 147C if you need to confirm your EIN.
  • Sole proprietors. Weave says you still need an EIN, and that many carriers reject sole proprietor campaigns.
  • Popups do not count. SMS terms must be visible on the page.
  • Vetting tips. Weave's FAQ points to Bandwidth's carrier support portal for vetting guidance. Our Bandwidth guide covers similar ground.

How do I get a website that passes Weave review?

  1. Show your exact legal name. See brand name match.
  2. List services and contact details. See business contact info.
  3. Serve pages over https. See SSL and HTTPS.
  4. Publish a privacy policy with the no-sharing sentence. See privacy policy.
  5. Publish SMS terms on the page, not in a popup. See SMS terms.
  6. Add a text opt-in checkbox to every form that asks for a mobile number. See opt-in form.
  7. Keep the site live. See no parked sites.

10DLC Site builds these pages and gives you the URLs and details to enter in Weave. You still fill out and send the registration yourself, and carriers make the final decision. If a reviewer flags your website, we fix the website free.

A new .com with hosting, SSL, a privacy policy that covers SMS, SMS terms and a compliant opt-in form, built to the requirements on this page. You submit your own 10DLC registration, and no one can guarantee approval, but a reviewer will have nothing on your site to flag.
