Rejected by carriers? The website is one of the most common reasons. Fix it today →

What website does Textedly need for 10DLC or toll-free registration?

Quick answer

Textedly needs a secure (https) website and a company email on the same domain as that website. Gmail or Yahoo addresses do not qualify. For toll-free verification it also asks for a privacy policy that says phone numbers are not shared, terms of service, and a site or page with clear opt-in language or forms.

Textedly is a business texting platform for mass texts, keywords, and two-way messaging. Accounts can use a local 10DLC number, a toll-free number, or both. This page is for Textedly users whose registration stalled, and for anyone about to click Register or Verify.

10DLC Site is not affiliated with or endorsed by Textedly. Provider names are used only to describe where information goes. This page describes the flow as documented at the time of writing (Updated September 2026). Screens change, so follow what you see in your account.

Which registration does Textedly use, and who submits it?

Textedly supports both 10DLC registration and toll-free verification, and it submits them for you. Textedly describes itself as a Campaign Service Provider that works with The Campaign Registry and carriers. You fill in the form from the Numbers tab.

Number type Button in Textedly What happens
10DLC (local) Blue REGISTER button in the Numbers tab Brand and campaign registration, by volume tier
Toll-free Blue Verify button next to the number Toll-free verification with carriers

For 10DLC, Textedly asks you to pick a volume tier first:

Tier Daily volume (per Textedly) EIN needed
Sole Proprietor Up to 3,000 messages per day No
Low Volume Up to 6,000 messages per day Yes
Standard More than 6,000 messages per day Yes

Where do the website, privacy policy, terms and opt-in go in Textedly?

They go in the registration form for each number. Textedly's two help articles name these items:

Item 10DLC form Toll-free form What to give
Website Yes, must be https Yes, must be a secure website Your business homepage
Company email Must match website domain and company name Business details [email protected], not Gmail or Yahoo
Privacy policy Not named in the 10DLC article Required, must say phone numbers are not shared with third parties Public privacy policy URL
Terms of service Not named in the 10DLC article Required Public terms URL with SMS terms
Opt-in Not named in the 10DLC article Website or social page with proper opt-in language or forms Your opt-in page
Use case and description Use case and message examples (per Textedly's 10DLC Phone Numbers article) Use Case and Use Case Description Text that matches your site

Textedly calls the toll-free Use Case and Use Case Description important for getting approved. Keep it specific and consistent with your website.

What does Textedly check on your website?

Textedly's articles spell out a few hard checks, and the carriers add the rest.

  • https only. Textedly says non-secure (http) sites are not accepted for 10DLC. See SSL and HTTPS.
  • Matching email domain. The company email must match your website domain and company name. See business contact info.
  • A no-sharing privacy policy. For toll-free, Textedly says the policy must state phone numbers are not shared with third parties. See privacy policy.
  • Terms of service. See SMS terms.
  • Visible opt-in. Proper opt-in language or a form on your site. See opt-in form.
  • A real business. Textedly's blog says you need a public-facing site that shows your business is real and legitimate. See brand name match.

Why was my Textedly registration rejected or delayed?

Textedly's help center does not publish rejection codes. Its articles and blog point to these causes, mapped to our fix pages.

Cause (from Textedly's docs) What it looks like Fix page
Website is http, not https Browser shows "Not secure" Website not accessible
Email does not match website domain Gmail, Yahoo, or a different domain Missing contact info
Privacy policy missing or allows sharing (toll-free) No statement that numbers are not shared Privacy policy missing SMS language
No terms of service (toll-free) No terms page on the site Missing SMS terms
No opt-in language or forms (toll-free) Reviewer cannot find consent Opt-in not verifiable
Prohibited use case Textedly's blog lists debt collection, third-party lead generation, SHAFT content, loan or credit repair offers Prohibited content

If your site does not show a real business, see website does not match brand.

How long does review take, and what does it cost?

Textedly says 10DLC approval from mobile carriers takes 24 to 48 hours. Toll-free verification typically takes 24 to 48 hours, up to two business days, and support can be asked about expedited options. You cannot send from a number until it is approved. Textedly's blog is more cautious, saying most 10DLC registrations finish within a few business days and the typical timeline is within two weeks.

At the time of writing, Textedly's 10DLC article says your first number registration is free, and lists these fees for later registrations:

Tier Brand fee Vetting fee Monthly campaign fee
Sole Proprietor $4.50 $15 $2
Low Volume $4.50 $15 $1.50
Standard $44 $15 $10

Textedly's toll-free article does not list a fee. It also does not publish a resubmission fee. Check the help center for current amounts.

What Textedly gotchas should I know about?

  • The email rule trips people up. A free email address is not accepted for 10DLC. Set up an email on your website's domain first.
  • http is an automatic no. Even an otherwise complete site fails the 10DLC check without https.
  • You can Save and Submit Later. Textedly's toll-free form lets you save, so you can finish your privacy policy and terms before submitting.
  • Social pages are allowed for toll-free, with limits. Textedly accepts a professional website or social media with proper opt-in language or forms. A plain social profile with no opt-in will not pass.

How do I get a website that passes Textedly review?

  1. Put your site on its own domain and serve it over https. See SSL and HTTPS.
  2. Create an email on that domain. See business contact info.
  3. Show your business name and services. See brand name match and content pages.
  4. Publish a privacy policy with a no-sharing statement. See privacy policy.
  5. Publish terms with SMS details. See SMS terms.
  6. Add an opt-in form with an unchecked SMS box. See opt-in form.
  7. Make sure the site is not parked. See no parked sites.

Frequently asked questions

Why won't Textedly accept my Gmail address for 10DLC?

Does Textedly accept a website without https?

No. Textedly's 10DLC article says the website must be secure and that non-secure (http) sites are not accepted. Its toll-free article also asks for a secure website. Make sure your domain has a valid SSL certificate and loads over https.

How much does Textedly charge for 10DLC registration?

Textedly says your first number registration is free. At the time of writing, later registrations list a brand fee of $4.50 (Sole Proprietor, Low Volume) or $44 (Standard), a $15 vetting fee, and a monthly campaign fee of $1.50 to $10. Check Textedly's help center for current amounts.

How long does Textedly 10DLC approval take?

Textedly's help center says full approval from mobile carriers takes 24 to 48 hours. You cannot send from the 10DLC number until it is fully approved. Textedly notes you can use your toll-free number in the meantime.

Do I need an EIN to register with Textedly?

It depends on the tier. Textedly says the Sole Proprietor tier does not need an EIN, while the Low Volume and Standard tiers do. Sole Proprietor is limited to up to 3,000 messages per day, per Textedly's article.

Can I use Textedly's webform as my opt-in?
