Why was my Podium 10DLC registration denied?

This page is for local businesses that use Podium to text customers, request reviews, and send payments or campaigns. Podium says US carriers require 10DLC registration for texts sent through apps like Podium to US numbers. Canadian customers who text US numbers must register too. Without it, Podium says messages may be filtered, throttled, or blocked.

Which registration does Podium use, and who submits it?

Podium uses A2P 10DLC, and you submit the business details yourself at 10dlc.podium.com. Podium says only account owners or supervisors can complete it. Podium's marketing page says you can register on your own or get help from its team.

Podium's help article on the steps asks mainly for brand details. It does not list campaign fields such as sample messages, a Message Flow, or privacy policy and terms URLs. So for most Podium users, the business identity and website are what you control directly. The help article was last modified in June 2025, so your screens may show more.

What goes into Podium's 10DLC form?

What do reviewers check on your website?

Podium does not publish a website checklist. But 10DLC reviewers use the website you give to confirm the business is real and matches the brand. The same checks apply as on every provider:

Name match. The site should show your legal name or the DBA you entered. See brand name match.
Live and real. Not parked, not "coming soon," not behind a login. See no parked sites.
Contact details. Address, phone, and email that match the form. See business contact info.
Privacy policy with a no-sharing line. Mobile numbers and SMS consent are not shared for marketing. See privacy policy.
A clear text opt-in. Where you collect phone numbers, use an unchecked SMS box with disclosure. See opt-in form.

Why was my Podium registration denied?

Podium suggests checking your name and EIN on your Secretary of State website. You can request IRS Letter 147C to confirm the name the IRS has on file. To resubmit, follow the prompts in Settings, then Your Business, then Business Registration.

How long does Podium review take, and what does it cost?

Podium says verification typically takes 1 to 3 business days. Status shows as Pending, Approved, or Denied.

What Podium details trip people up?

Punctuation counts. "Smith & Sons, LLC" and "Smith and Sons LLC" are not the same name to a reviewer.
One registration per location. Multi-location accounts add each location with Add Registration.
Sole proprietor limits. Podium lists a 1,000 message daily T-Mobile cap and 1 message per second. See sole proprietor brand.
Caps cause failures. Podium says messages over the T-Mobile daily cap fail, and messages over your speed limit queue for up to 4 hours before failing.
