What website does CallRail need for 10DLC text registration?

Quick answer

CallRail sends your form to its messaging partner Twilio and to The Campaign Registry. Your business website must be public and must not be a CallRail URL. Any page that collects phone numbers needs an explicit text opt-in, and the site needs a privacy policy and terms with a no-sharing statement. Review typically takes 3 to 5 business days.

This page is for businesses and agencies that reply to leads by text from CallRail tracking numbers. That includes automated replies to missed calls and form fills. CallRail says unregistered businesses cannot send texts from CallRail numbers, no matter how few they send.

10DLC Site is not affiliated with or endorsed by CallRail or Twilio. Provider names are used only to describe where information goes. This page describes the flow as documented at the time of writing (Updated September 2026). Screens change, so follow what you see in your account.

Which registration does CallRail use, and who submits it?

CallRail uses A2P 10DLC. You fill out one form, and CallRail sends it on. Go to Account settings, then Compliance home, then the 10DLC registration button. CallRail confirms the details, adds technical specs, and sends it to Twilio and TCR. They verify your brand, then your campaign.

Toll-free is not an option for texting. CallRail says its toll-free numbers cannot send text messages. Because CallRail runs on Twilio, the rules in our Twilio guide also apply.

If you were registered with another provider, CallRail says you must register again. 10DLC registration stays with your current texting vendor.

What goes into CallRail's registration form?

CallRail's form is shorter than most. It has no separate privacy or terms URL field in its published field list, so reviewers find those pages from your website.

Form item What CallRail asks for
Basic info Name, email, CallRail account number
Business info Legal business name, address, industry, legal entity type
Business identifier EIN (US) or CBN (Canada)
Business website A public site. A Facebook or Yelp page is allowed but may delay review. No CallRail URLs.
Consent How people agree to texts: verbally, digitally, or in person
Online opt-in If your site collects phone numbers, that page must have an explicit text opt-in statement
Opt-in keywords and message Optional. Keywords like START, plus the auto-reply
Region, business type, company status Plus stock ticker if public
Campaign description Every use case you text for
Message samples Two samples that represent your business

CallRail pre-fills the form with AI from your website. A thin website means blank fields and more manual work. Industry and legal entity type must be filled in, or CallRail says the registration may be delayed or denied.

Included in your Registration Kit: the campaign description, consent description, and two sample messages written for your use case, plus your homepage, privacy policy, terms, and opt-in page URLs, ready to paste into CallRail. Build my order →

What does CallRail (and Twilio) check on your website?

CallRail says TCR evaluates your website to confirm you are a valid, legal business. Its compliance pages list these rules:

  • A live, public site. It must have a publicly reachable URL. See website not accessible.
  • Opt-in on every phone-number form. CallRail says if you collect phone numbers without explicit text consent on that page, you cannot register. The SMS box must be present but optional. Do not bundle email or call consent into it, and keep marketing and transactional consent separate. See opt-in form.
  • Privacy policy and terms links. Required on all websites. CallRail allows them to be one combined link, as long as the wording is there. See privacy policy and SMS terms.
  • No-sharing statement. The privacy policy must say mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
  • Age gate. If the site mentions alcohol or other legal adult topics, it must ask visitors for a birthdate.

Why was my CallRail text registration rejected?

CallRail points customers to Twilio's campaign rejection error page for specific codes. These are the causes CallRail itself names.

Cause CallRail names Fix page
Discrepancies between your form and your business or samples Website does not match brand
A CallRail URL used as the business website Website does not match brand
Phone numbers collected on the site with no text opt-in Opt-in not verifiable
Industry or legal entity type left blank Campaign rejected: next steps
Privacy policy lacks the no-sharing statement Privacy policy missing SMS language
Prohibited content (SHAFT, marijuana, spam, phishing) Prohibited content

For the specific error codes, see our Twilio guide. CallRail says to open a support ticket if you want to appeal a rejection marked not eligible for resubmission.

How long does CallRail review take, and what does it cost?

CallRail's overview says a typical registration takes 3 to 5 business days. Its agency FAQ says it may take up to 30 days. It cannot be expedited. Check status under Account Settings, then All Companies, or on the Voice Assist page.

At the time of writing, CallRail says:

  • Submitting the registration is free.
  • Each registered account pays $1.50 per month, shown as a mixed-use campaign fee on your CallRail invoice.
  • Each resubmission after a rejection for missing, wrong, or non-compliant info adds a one-time fee. CallRail does not publish the amount.

Since resubmissions cost money, check your website before the first submit.

What CallRail details trip people up?

  • New numbers are not added automatically. Contact CallRail support to add a new number to your registration.
  • One registration per account. Agencies should read CallRail's agency articles for multi-client setups.
  • STOP covers the whole campaign. An opt-out applies to all numbers in the same campaign.
  • First-message opt-out. CallRail appends "Reply STOP to opt out" to a Message Flow reply if it finds no opt-out keyword.

How do I get a website that passes CallRail review?

  1. Use your own domain, not a CallRail or social URL. See brand name match.
  2. Show services and contact details, which also helps the AI pre-fill. See content pages.
  3. Serve pages over https. See SSL and HTTPS.
  4. Publish a privacy policy with the no-sharing line. See privacy policy.
  5. Publish SMS terms. See SMS terms.
  6. Add an optional SMS checkbox to every form that asks for a phone number. See opt-in form.
  7. Keep the site live. See no parked sites.

10DLC Site builds these pages and gives you the details to enter in CallRail. You still submit the form yourself, and carriers make the final decision. If a reviewer flags your website, we fix the website free.
