Brevo is an email, SMS, and CRM platform. Many users outside the US are surprised that US texting needs a separate registration. This page explains Brevo's US flow and what your website needs for it.
10DLC Site is not affiliated with or endorsed by Brevo. Provider names are used only to describe where information goes. This page describes the flow as documented at the time of writing (Updated September 2026). Screens change, so follow what you see in your account.
For most accounts, it is toll-free. Brevo's help center says registering a Sender ID for the USA or Canada also registers your toll-free number. So your review is toll-free verification, built into Brevo's Sender ID form.
| Number type | What Brevo says |
|---|---|
| Toll-free | Registered as part of the USA or Canada Sender ID. Required before you can send there. |
| Short code | Only on request and on an Enterprise plan |
| 10DLC | Brevo mentions possible extra costs for USA "A2P10DLC" Sender IDs, but does not publish a separate 10DLC flow in the articles we checked |
The website checks for toll-free are close to 10DLC: a live site that matches the business, a privacy policy with a no-sharing statement, SMS terms, and a visible opt-in.
Go to the account dropdown, then Settings, Campaigns, SMS Sender ID. Click Request Sender ID and choose the USA. The form has four steps, and you can save and return later.
| Brevo step | Fields that matter for review |
|---|---|
| 1. Company information | Legal company name as on your documents, optional DBA, business address, business type, and your government-issued registration number |
| 2. Website and terms | Corporate website URL, privacy policy URL, terms and conditions URL |
| 3. Contact information | Name, business email, and phone of the person responsible. Free or personal email addresses are rejected. |
| 4. Type of SMS messages and proof of opt-in | Monthly volume, use case, a use case summary (up to 500 characters), one real sample message per use case, opt-in type, and proof of opt-in |
Brevo's field notes are specific:
Brevo does not publish a list of rejection codes. Its field notes show where registrations usually fail:
| Likely cause | Brevo's rule | Fix page |
|---|---|---|
| Privacy policy lacks the required clause | Clause must appear word for word | Privacy policy missing SMS |
| Terms miss frequency, rates, support, or STOP | Terms must include each of these | Missing SMS terms |
| Free or personal email in contact step | Rejected for toll-free registrations | Business contact info |
| Company name differs from legal documents | Legal name as on your documents, DBA separate | Website does not match brand |
| Sample message uses placeholders or lacks brand and STOP | Real links, brand name, opt-out wording | Sample messages mismatch |
| Opt-in proof does not match the opt-in type | Proof must fit the type you select | Opt-in not verifiable |
If you get an error when you click Submit, Brevo asks you to open a support ticket with the error number, such as "Toll-free number - error 2", and a screenshot of the form.
Brevo says US and Canada registration can take up to 4 to 6 weeks, because it includes a toll-free number. Updates arrive in the Brevo notification center and by email.
On cost, Brevo says Sender ID registration may cost extra in some countries, including the USA for A2P 10DLC and short code IDs. It does not publish amounts there. Check Brevo's current pricing page.
Two sending rules catch many Brevo users:
Brevo's US form does not mention Shopify. The same matching rules apply to any store, though:
Included in your Registration Kit: your legal name, DBA, and business details, plus your homepage, privacy policy, SMS terms, and opt-in page URLs, ready to paste into Brevo's Sender ID form. Build my order →
10DLC Site builds these pages and gives you the URLs. You still submit through Brevo yourself, and carriers make the final decision. For other providers, see the any-provider guide.

A new .com with hosting, SSL, a privacy policy that covers SMS, SMS terms and a compliant opt-in form, built to the requirements on this page. You submit your own 10DLC registration, and no one can guarantee approval, but a reviewer will have nothing on your site to flag.
