Rejected by carriers? The website is one of the most common reasons. Fix it today →

This page is for teams that text customers from Textline's shared inbox. Textline requires registration before you send your first text. Each department that texts from a 10-digit number is tied to a campaign. Reviewers use your website to confirm your business is real and that contacts agreed to get texts.

10DLC Site is not affiliated with or endorsed by Textline. Provider names are used only to describe where information goes. This page describes the flow as documented at the time of writing (Updated September 2026). Screens change, so follow what you see in your account.

Which registration does Textline use, and who submits it?

Textline uses 10DLC for local numbers and toll-free verification for toll-free numbers. It submits both on your behalf. Textline says it acts as your Campaign Service Provider for numbers it provides. You fill in the forms in the app, then Textline submits them for vetting. Textline names Twilio as the registration entity for toll-free. It also says owners of their own Twilio numbers pay campaign fees to Twilio directly. That points to Twilio as the upstream provider, so our Twilio guide covers the upstream checks.

Numbers brought from other carriers or providers must be registered through those providers, not Textline.

Where do the website URLs go in Textline's registration?

Textline splits registration into Organization (your brand) and Department (your campaign).

URL Where it goes in Textline
Business website (homepage) Organization, Website field. Must start with https:// and include your legal name or DBA. No social media links.
Opt-in page or opt-in evidence Department, Opt-in Description. Reference links to specific pages on your site. Then upload an image of your opt-in (JPG or PNG) in Upload Verification.
Privacy policy Textline says your registration must reference it. Your opt-in wording should also link to it.
Terms of service (with SMS terms) Same: reference it in the registration and in your opt-in wording.

You also pick an Opt-In Type: Verbal, Web Form, Paper Form, Via text, or Mobile QR. The Opt-in Description must stay under 2,048 characters for 10DLC. Textline adds standard opt-out wording to your example messages.

Included in your Registration Kit: the Opt-in Description text sized for Textline's limit, example messages written for your use case, and the exact homepage, opt-in, privacy and terms URLs, ready to paste into Textline. Build my order →

What does Textline check on your website?

Textline's help center lists these website and opt-in requirements:

  • HTTPS. Textline says Twilio, TCR, and Textline all require it. A plain http site is a red flag for brand checks.
  • Your name on the site. The website should include your legal name or DBA, and the legal name must match tax records exactly.
  • A privacy policy with no third-party sharing of SMS consent. Textline says carriers forbid sharing SMS consent or mobile numbers, and doing so risks rejection.
  • A full opt-in message. Your business name, what you will text about, frequency, a rates notice, help contact, STOP instructions, and a reference to your terms and privacy policy.
  • Separate, unchecked checkboxes. SMS consent needs its own box, apart from email or calls, and it cannot be pre-selected.
  • Opt-in not buried. Opt-in details should not be hidden in your terms, especially terms for other services.

Why was my Textline 10DLC campaign rejected?

The Textline docs reviewed here do not publish a numbered code list. Based on the requirements Textline names, these are the likely causes and fixes:

Likely cause, based on Textline's rules Fix page
Website is http, not https SSL and HTTPS
Website is a social media page, or does not show your legal name or DBA Website does not match brand
Legal name does not exactly match tax records Brand EIN mismatch
Privacy policy allows sharing SMS consent or mobile numbers Privacy policy missing SMS language
Pre-checked box, or SMS consent bundled with email or calls Opt-in form
Opt-in hidden in terms, or no image to verify it Opt-in not verifiable
Opt-in message missing frequency, rates, HELP, or STOP Missing SMS terms

Textline says that if a campaign is rejected, it will work with you to re-register it. For the underlying Twilio error codes, see the Twilio guide.

How long does review take, and what does it cost?

Textline says vetting can take up to 2 to 3 weeks after it submits your details. At the time of writing, its Campaign Registry pricing article lists:

Item Fee in Textline's article
Brand registration $0 for accounts with fewer than 50 numbers
Campaign $15 per month per campaign, billed after approval
Rejected campaign No campaign fee
Unregistered number $25 per month after a 14-day grace period

Check Textline's help center for current fees before you act.

Textline gotchas to know

  1. Different use cases need different campaigns. A support number and a sales number need separate campaigns. Several support numbers can share one.
  2. Verbal opt-in does not work for Marketing. Textline says the verbal format will not work for Marketing use cases.
  3. The 14-day clock. New numbers have 14 days to join a campaign before the unregistered-number fee starts.
  4. Toll-free has its own form. Toll-free verification uses different attributes and a 500-character opt-in limit. See toll-free verification.

How do I get a website that passes Textline review?

  1. The site loads over https with a valid certificate. See SSL and HTTPS.
  2. It shows your legal name or DBA and matches your registration. See brand name match.
  3. It shows your services and contact details. See business contact info.
  4. Its privacy policy says SMS consent and mobile numbers are not shared. See privacy policy.
  5. It has SMS terms with frequency, rates, HELP, and STOP. See SMS terms.
  6. Its opt-in form has a separate, unchecked SMS box. See opt-in form.

10DLC Site builds these pages and gives you the exact URLs to paste into Textline. You still complete the registration yourself, and carriers make the final decision. For other providers, see the any-provider guide.
