Definition: Brand vetting is a third-party review of a registered 10DLC brand that produces a score used by some carriers to set messaging throughput.
Every brand in The Campaign Registry gets an automatic identity check. Vetting goes a step further. A vetting partner looks at your business more closely and gives you a score. That score can change how many messages some carriers let you send.
| Type | How it works (per TCR) | Listed fee (Vonage) |
|---|---|---|
| Standard vet | optional, automated, score 0 to 100 | $41.50 |
| Enhanced vet | manual, deeper review | $101.50 |
TCR names vetting partners including Aegis Mobile, WMC, and Campaign Verify (for political senders). SignalWire also lists requesting vetting as one option when a brand comes back unverified.
Authentication+ (Auth+) is a separate step. TCR requires it for public for-profit brands (PUBLIC_PROFIT) to create new campaigns:
Vonage lists the Auth+ fee at $12.50, effective August 7, 2025.
Vetting partners and carriers look at who you are. A clear website that shows your legal name, services, and contact details makes that story easy to confirm. See brand name match and business contact info.

TCR describes standard vetting as optional. Some providers set their own rules, though: Vonage says it requires external vetting for most campaign types, except Low Volume Mixed and Sole Proprietor.
There is no single pass mark, but TCR's guide says a standard vet score of 75 or higher gets the top throughput terms with carriers that use the score.
It depends on your provider. Vonage lists a standard vet at $41.50 and an enhanced vet at $101.50, and Plivo lists optional brand vetting at $41.50.
Authentication+ is a check that TCR requires for public for-profit brands before they create new campaigns. A PIN is emailed to the brand's business contact, and it must be completed within 30 days.
