T-Mobile only delivers business texts from 10-digit numbers that are registered as a 10DLC brand and campaign. It sets a daily message cap per tax ID based on your vetting score, charges per-message carrier fees, and bans content such as cannabis, debt relief, and third-party lead generation. A blocked message and a rejected campaign need different fixes.
This page is for businesses that text T-Mobile customers from a local 10-digit number through a provider such as Twilio, Telnyx, or Bandwidth. T-Mobile does not take registrations from you directly. You register through your provider, and T-Mobile applies its own fees, limits, and content rules to the traffic.
10DLC Site is not affiliated with or endorsed by T-Mobile. Carrier names are used only to describe how traffic is handled. This page describes T-Mobile's rules as documented by T-Mobile and major providers at the time of writing (Updated September 2026). Fees and limits change, so confirm them with your provider.
Yes. Business texts from a 10-digit number must come from a registered brand and campaign. Telnyx says that from February 3, 2025, unregistered 10DLC traffic is blocked altogether. On Twilio, messages from a number that is not linked to an approved campaign fail with error 30034.
T-Mobile's Code of Conduct (version 2.2) covers 10DLC, short code, and toll-free traffic on its network. It builds on the CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices.
UScellular: T-Mobile closed its purchase of UScellular's wireless operations on August 1, 2025. Some providers still list U.S. Cellular as its own line in fee tables. Bandwidth lists $0.0050 outbound and $0.0025 inbound per SMS for U.S. Cellular, effective January 19, 2026.
T-Mobile passes per-message fees to your provider, which bills them to you. These amounts come from Bandwidth's carrier surcharge table (updated September 16, 2026). Twilio's US pricing page shows the same registered SMS amounts.
| T-Mobile fee | Amount at the time of writing | Effective |
|---|---|---|
| Registered 10DLC SMS, outbound | $0.0045 per segment | Jan 19, 2026 |
| Registered 10DLC SMS, inbound | $0.0025 per segment | Jan 19, 2026 |
| Registered 10DLC MMS, each way | $0.0100 per message | Jun 1, 2021 |
| Unregistered 10DLC SMS | $0.0120 each way (this traffic is now blocked) | Dec 1, 2024 |
| Campaign non-use fee | $250 if no number is added in a rolling 60 days | Dec 1, 2022 |
Bandwidth also lists T-Mobile fines for severe content violations: $2,000 for phishing or smishing, $1,000 for illegal content, and $500 for other violations. These sit on top of the one-time brand fee and monthly campaign fees your provider charges for registration. Check your provider's current pricing page before you plan a send.
T-Mobile limits how many messages a brand can send to its customers each day. The cap depends on your brand's vetting score. Bandwidth and Infobip list the same tiers:
| Vetting score | Tier | Daily cap to T-Mobile |
|---|---|---|
| 75 to 100 | Top | 200,000 |
| 50 to 74 | Upper or high mid | 40,000 |
| 25 to 49 | Lower or low mid | 10,000 |
| 1 to 24 | Low | 2,000 |
Twilio says the cap applies at the EIN level. All brands and campaigns under one EIN share it. It counts SMS segments and MMS messages, and it resets at midnight Pacific time. Telnyx lists 1,000 a day for Sole Proprietor brands. Brands that need more than 200,000 a day can ask for a Special Business Review. Bandwidth notes a one-time fee for that review.
To raise your cap, raise your score. See brand vetting.
T-Mobile's Code of Conduct lists disallowed content that it no longer supports "regardless of any prior approval." Exceptions need written approval through T-Mobile's own process.
The Code also bans selling, renting, or sharing consent, snowshoe sending, and shared numbers. Content must be legal in all 50 states. Age-restricted content, such as alcohol, firearms, or tobacco, needs a working age gate that checks date of birth at opt-in. A simple yes or no question does not count. See prohibited content.
T-Mobile does not publish a website checklist for 10DLC. Your campaign is reviewed by your provider and the partners upstream of it, and T-Mobile can suspend a campaign later. In practice, reviewers check that:
Yes. A rejected campaign never got approved. A blocked message failed after approval, or came from a number that was never registered.
| What you see | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Campaign status is rejected or failed | Registration details, website, or content did not pass review | Follow the rejection triage |
| Twilio 30034 | Number is not linked to an approved campaign | Finish registration and add the number to the campaign |
| Twilio 30023 (Bandwidth 4780) | You hit the T-Mobile daily cap | Wait for the midnight Pacific reset, send priority texts first, or improve your vetting score |
| Twilio 30007 | Carrier or provider filtered the content | Check content against your registered use case and remove public link shorteners |
| Rising opt-outs or complaints | List or consent problem | Audit consent. T-Mobile's Code says campaigns over 0.5% opt-outs per send should be monitored |
For filtered messages, Twilio asks you to collect at least three failed message IDs and contact support. Do not switch to new numbers to get around a block. T-Mobile's Code treats that as filter evasion.

It depends on your brand's vetting score. Bandwidth and Infobip list 2,000 messages a day for scores 1 to 24, 10,000 for 25 to 49, 40,000 for 50 to 74, and 200,000 for 75 to 100. Twilio says the cap is shared by all brands under one EIN and resets at midnight Pacific time.
At the time of writing, Bandwidth lists $0.0045 per outbound SMS segment and $0.0025 per inbound SMS on registered 10DLC traffic, effective January 19, 2026. Registered MMS is $0.01 each way. Fees change often, so check your provider's current pricing page.
Yes. Bandwidth says T-Mobile charges a $250 non-use fee when a campaign has no phone number added in a rolling 60-day window. You can avoid it by adding a number or expiring the campaign you no longer need.
On Twilio, error 30023 means you reached the daily message cap for your brand. The cap counts SMS segments and MMS messages across every platform you use under that EIN. It resets at 00:00 Pacific time, and a higher vetting score raises the cap.
No. T-Mobile's Code of Conduct lists cannabis as disallowed content and says content must be legal across all 50 states. Bandwidth adds that CBD and cannabis on your website alone can get a campaign denied.
Yes. T-Mobile closed its purchase of UScellular's wireless operations on August 1, 2025. Some providers still show a separate U.S. Cellular line in their carrier fee tables, so check yours.
T-Mobile does not publish a website checklist for 10DLC. Campaign reviewers in the registration chain do check your site, and Bandwidth says they look for your website even if you did not submit one. Banned content anywhere on the site can lead to rejection.
