Rejected by carriers? The website is one of the most common reasons. Fix it today →

This page is for businesses and software platforms that send US texts on Commio numbers (Commio was formerly thinQ). You register a brand and a campaign, then assign numbers to the approved campaign. Reviewers use your website to confirm the business is real and that people agreed to get texts.

10DLC Site is not affiliated with or endorsed by Commio. Provider names are used only to describe where information goes. This page describes the flow as documented at the time of writing (Updated September 2026). Screens change, so follow what you see in your account.

Which registration does Commio use, and who submits it?

Commio uses A2P 10DLC through The Campaign Registry (TCR), and you submit the brand and campaign yourself in the Commio portal. Commio's guide says to log in, open Messaging, then the Campaign Registry page. Commio sends what you submit to TCR for vetting. You can also register brands directly with TCR. After approval, you get an email and can assign numbers to the campaign.

Where do the website URLs go in Commio's registration?

URL Where it goes in Commio
Business website (homepage) Brand registration. Commio's guide lists website for public companies and government entities. Its checklist says every brand needs a live website that DCAs will check.
Privacy policy Campaign form, Privacy Policy Link field. Use the direct link to the page.
Terms and conditions (with SMS terms) Campaign form, Terms and conditions Link field. If you have no separate terms page, Commio says the disclosures can go in the call-to-action.
Opt-in page or opt-in evidence Call-to-Action / Message Flow. Link every page with an opt-in. Upload screenshots or forms under Supporting Documentation.

Commio calls Call-to-Action / Message Flow one of the most heavily scrutinized sections. It should cover your brand or program name, message frequency, that message and data rates may apply, and HELP and STOP instructions. For verbal opt-in, include the script the agent reads.

What does Commio check on your website?

Commio's help center and checklist describe what reviewers look for:

  • A live, secure site that matches the brand. The checklist asks for a valid SSL certificate and a site that matches the brand name.
  • Easy-to-find policies. Privacy policy and terms must be on the site, clearly labeled, and reachable from the home page. This applies even if you do not collect opt-ins on the site.
  • A privacy policy with no sharing of numbers. The team reads it in full. It must say personal information, including phone numbers, is not shared or sold.
  • Terms with SMS program details. Program name, message types, frequency, rates notice, customer care contact, and opt-out steps.
  • A text-only opt-in. Consent wording at the bottom of the form, covering frequency, rates, and brand name. Email and call consent must be separate.
  • An optional phone field. A mandatory phone number field counts as forced opt-in.

Why was my Commio 10DLC campaign rejected?

The Commio docs reviewed here do not publish a numbered code list. They do name these causes:

Cause named by Commio Fix page
Use case does not match opt-in wording (for example, the opt-in mentions promotions but Marketing was not selected) Sample messages mismatch
Call-to-action missing brand, frequency, rates, HELP, or STOP Opt-in not verifiable
Privacy policy allows sharing personal info or phone numbers Privacy policy missing SMS language
Opt-in hidden behind a multi-page form or login with no screenshot Opt-in not verifiable
Opt-in bundled with email or calls, or a required phone field Opt-in form
Public URL shorteners in messages Sample messages mismatch
Website does not match the brand, or brand is the agency, not the business Website does not match brand

How long does review take, and what does it cost to resubmit?

Commio says DCA campaign review can take up to 10 business days on average. Brand checks are automated, so its checklist says to expect brand status updates within minutes.

On cost, Commio's SMS Campaign Guide (updated May 2025) lists:

Item Fee in Commio's guide
Brand registration $4
Resubmit an unverified brand $4
Vetting through the portal (Aegis) $40
Most campaign use cases, such as Marketing or Customer Care $10
Low Volume Mixed $2
Charity $5

Commio's 2024 checklist adds a $15 DCA review fee and says fees are charged per attempt, not per approval. Its campaign amounts differ from the newer guide, so check Commio's current pricing before you resubmit.

Commio gotchas to know

  1. One EIN, one brand. Commio's checklist says an EIN cannot be used to register multiple brands.
  2. Register the brand, not the agency. If messages name "Solar City," register Solar City, not the agency sending for it.
  3. Authentication+ for public companies. The contact email must share the brand's website domain. Commio says it cannot be a group address like sales@ or a free email address.
  4. Link every opt-in page. If opt-in appears in several places, each needs the wording and a link in the call-to-action.

How do I get a website that passes Commio review?

  1. The site is live, secure, and matches your brand. See SSL and HTTPS and brand name match.
  2. It shows your services and contact details. See business contact info.
  3. Privacy policy and terms are linked from the home page. See privacy policy and SMS terms.
  4. The opt-in is text-only, with an optional phone field and full disclosure. See opt-in form.
  5. It is not parked or "coming soon." See no parked sites.

10DLC Site builds these pages and gives you the exact URLs to paste into Commio. You still submit the registration yourself, and carriers make the final decision. For other providers, see the any-provider guide.
